Item Description
3.5x5-3/8" vintage glossy postcard depicting 14 Hispanic ballplayers in full uniform posed on a ball field. Typed notation at top of photo reads "San Rafael" - 1942. Based on uniform style, this club appears to be an amateur or local town team, likely constructed for barnstorming purposes as was common during this era in Hispanic countries. Back of postcard contains roster of names, neatly typed, to identify individuals pictured on the front. Image quality of the photo is excellent with minor staining around the edges and scattered creasing around the perimeter. Back of postcard exhibits glue residue from scrapbook removal and has not been postally used. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
