Item Description
8-1/8x10.75" vintage, empty album consisting of 18 pages with designated spaces for a total of 100 cards to be adhered to the album. Although no examples of these cards are present, it appears from the album text that they are images of generic baseball terminology as opposed to portraits of ballplayers. All text is in Spanish and talks about Cuban baseball events from the 1920s through the mid-1940s, thus, we are estimating that this album was produced during the late 1940s. Album cover displays a beautiful baseball action shot illustration along with the Name "P. Fuentes" in the lower left-hand corner, and team pennants surrounding the illustration which portray all four of the big Cuban baseball teams of the era: Almendares, Havana, Cienfuegos and Marianao. Album is complete and displays very nicely. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
