Item Description
3.25x5.5" generic postcard has inked name/address from a young Richard Merkin. Blank opposite has been signed in black ink by Baseball HOF member Dick Williams (1929-2011), a left fielder, third baseman, manager and coach known for his hard-driving methods and sharp tongue as a manager from 1967 to 1969 and from 1971 to 1988. Williams led teams to three AL pennants, one NL pennant and two World Series triumphs. He was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 2008. Williams has added "Good Luck Richard" inscription by his signature. Postcard has  June 7, 1951 Brooklyn, NY postmark. Card has lt., even aging and scattered inking and handling wear. Fine overall but signature/inscription still display well. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
