Item Description
3.25x5.5" generic postcard has inked name/address from a young Richard Merkin. Blank opposite has been signed in black ink by Baseball HOF member Leo Durocher (1905-1991), who played for the New York Yankees, Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals and Brooklyn Dodgers in 1925 and 1928 through 1945. Durocher began his MLB managerial career in 1939 and managed his last game in 1973. He was posthumously elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1994. Postcard has April 19, 1952 Brooklyn, NY postmark. Card has lt., even aging and scattered handling/inking from mailing. Fine overall. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
