Item Description
3.25x5.5" generic postcard has stamped name/address from a young Richard Merkin's household. Blank opposite has been signed in blue ink by Baseball HOF member Red Schoendienst (1923-2018), who played for 19 years w/the St. Louis Cardinals (1945-1956, 1961-1963), New York Giants (1956-1957) and Milwaukee Braves (1957-1960). He was named to 10 All Star teams and then managed the Cardinals from 1965 through 1976. He was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1989. Schoendienst has added "'Best Wishes'" inscription above his name. Postcard has  July 26, 1952 New York, NY postmark. Card has lt., even aging and spot of handling wear along edge but is o/w Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
