Item Description
3-3/8x5-3/8" real photo postcard shows Baseball HOF member Bill Dickey (1907-1993), a catcher who played in MLB for the New York Yankees for 19 seasons (1928-1943, 1946). During Dickey's playing career, the Yankees went to the World Series nine times, winning eight championships. He was named to 11 All-Star Games. As a manager and coach, the Yankees won another six World Series titles. He was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1954. Dickey is shown in catcher's gear and stance and has signed below his image in blue ink. Back is unused aside from small ink notation of his name. Postcard is o/w Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
