Item Description
1.5" celluloid on two layers of 1-7/8" fiberboard and cardboard plus leather strap. No maker's name. Front has photo of the long time manager of the Fort Worth Panthers (Texas League) team, Walter Morris. Back designed like a baseball w/celluloid wheels for runs "Visitors/Home Club" and innings.  Morris would fashion a career managerial record across various professional minor leagues and teams of 356-326. The 1912 edition of the Panthers finished in seventh place in the Texas League with a final record of 59-81. Intensity of gold background varies and left cello edge has pair of barely seen 1/16" splits, one at 8 and one at 9:30 o'clock. VF. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
