Item Description
1.25", w/W&H back paper. Photo portrait at center w/his last name above. Bottom center has image of a turtle. We know of only three buttons in this set, all are rare. Rudy Baerwald played only briefly for one Major League season, 1907 with the New York Highlanders, before embarking on an extensive minor league career, including his stint with the Memphis Turtles ball club of the Class A - Southern Association. Right side at 3 o'clock has a short vertical hairline in the paper's surface but covered by the cello and not felt and barely seen. There is also a slight air spot in the same area and on the left edge of this are two literal pinpoint sized dirt specks under the celluloid as made. Button has only the slightest actual surface wear. Exc. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
