Item Description
8.25x10.25" back cover of Baseball Magazine Dec. 1934 issue features inside back cover pin-up of Paul Waner (1903-1965), nicknamed "Big Poison," who played MLB for four teams between 1926 and 1945, most notably playing his first 15 seasons w/the Pittsburgh Pirates. Waner was a four-time All-Star, NL MVP and was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1952. This same pin-up image was used for his 1933 and 1934 Goudey baseball card. Waner has signed in black ink across his chest. Text below image reads "Paul Waner, Of The Pirates, The Leading Batsman Of The National League For 1934." Back cover features ad for Who's Who In Major Leagues Baseball book. Slight margin trim. Bold signature and likely a unique signed piece. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA. Chuck Bruce HOF Collection.
