Item Description
Vintage 8x10" 1940s publicity photo shows Honus Wagner (1874-1955) later in his career as a coach w/the Pittsburgh Pirates. Wagner played w/the Pirates 1900-1917 and was a manager in 1917 before serving as coach 1933-1951. He was a World Series champ in 1909 and was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1936. Wagner has signed photo of himself sitting in dugout (about to put some chewing tobacco in his mouth) in black felt tip pen, adding "Best Wishes To Ed" inscription. Top margin has slight trim, but o/w photo is VF/Exc. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA. Chuck Bruce HOF Collection.
