Item Description
Vintage 7.75x10.25" photo shows Eddie Collins (1887-1951), nicknamed "Cocky," an MLB player, manager and executive. He played as a second baseman for the Philadelphia Athletics (1906-1914) and Chicago White Sox (1915-1926). Named 1914 AL MVP (during his time w/the Athletics), he was a six-time World Series champ. Collins was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1939. Photo has been boldly inscribed in blue ink above Collins' printed name. Photo has some scattered handling wear and thin strip of tape atop center on back, but this does not affect front's display, which remains VF overall w/Exc. signature. Photos signed by Collins are rare and this example showing him in White Sox uniform is about as nice as they come. Comes with Hake's COA and PSA/DNA LOA. Chuck Bruce HOF Collection.
