Item Description
14.5x16.75" frame contains professionally framed and double-matted display for 1927 M114 magazine premium picture showing Rogers Hornsby (1896-1963), a two-time NL MVP, a two-time Triple Crown winner and 1926 World Series champ. One of the true legends of the game, Hornsby was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1942 and named to both the MLB All-Century and All-Time teams. Hornsby is shown in New York Giants uniform, 1927 was his only year w/the Giants. Bottom margin of premium has Hornsby's name and reads "Published By The Baseball Magazine Company, New York - Enlarged From Original Photograph By Wide World Photos, N.Y." Hornsby has boldly signed at left in blue ink. Premium has some lt. scattered handling wear and tiny pen puncture to first letter of Hornsby's first name but o/w makes for Exc. display as professionally framed w/custom text plate.
