Item Description
Original box w/photo/art illustrated lid contains 15" long hard plastic Grand Prix racer w/rubber tires. Made in Japan by Sakura, ©1981 NTV. Box features illustrations and photos of toy and is complete w/two cardboard insets and original packing paper. Box shows scattered edge/corner tip wear and is Fine overall. Ferrari Sigma Grand Prix racer w/friction action features dimensional plastic driver figure of Osamu Tezuka's iconic manga character Mighty Atom (Astro Boy's name in Japan). Car is decorated w/Mighty Atom sticker on hood and "Mighty Atom" name on sides in English while spoiler has sticker w/name in Japanese characters. Side of racer also features portraits of Mighty Atom and other characters including Professor Ochanomizu, Dr. Umataro Tenma, Higeoyaji, Mighty Atom's robotic parents, Inspector Tawashi and Chief Nakamura. Friction action works, producing clicking noise. NM, old store stock and rare as such.
