Item Description
3-3/8"x5-3/8" vintage matte postcard depicting 11 ballplayers in full uniform along with the manager dressed in formal attire and seated in center with mascot on his lap. All ballplayers have been identified above/below the photo along with their positions on the ballfield. This local town ball club was based in Battleboro, VT, taking on all comers in the local area. Brief handwritten message along right edge on front and postally cancelled on back with a date of July 25, 1906 from Troy, NY. Postcard exhibits lt., even corner wear along with a bit of smudging on back from post office stamping. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
