Item Description

3.5"x5.5" vintage matte postcard depicting 11 ballplayers in full uniform along with three gentlemen dressed in formal attire and a batboy lying in front, all posed in front of stadium seating with period baseball equipment on display in the foreground. Publisher's credit in lower right-hand corner reads "M.G. Callahan". The 1906 Zanesville/Marion Moguls ball club finished in 5th place in the Class C Ohio-Pennsylvania League with a final record of 71-69 under manager, Ferd Drumm. This team was short lived as they would disband following the 1907 season. Postcard exhibits lt., even corner wear with a small chip visible in the upper left-hand corner. Divided postcard back remains blank and unused and exhibits some scuff marks and staining, primarily in the lower right-hand corner. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
