Item Description
3.5"x5.5" vintage matte postcard depicting 17 members of the 1907 Tecumseh ball club, including future New York Giants star, Fred Merkle, best known for his "Merkle Boner" play which cost the Giants an important pennant race game against the Chicago Cubs during his rookie season of 1908. The 1907 Tecumseh team finished in first place with a final record of 68-42 in the Southern Michigan League under Manager Bo Slear. All team members are identified by first initial/last name based on their location in the photo. Image retains superb clarity with no significant condition issues present.
