Item Description
3.5"x5-3/8" vintage silver gelatin postcard depicting nine team members posed in a single file line on a ballfield with period baseball equipment in the foreground. We have been unable to find any info indicating that this team/league was on a professional level so we are assuming that they were a semi-pro, town ball club that would take on all comers in the local PA area. Image clarity of the photograph is superb. Back of postcard remains blank and unused, exhibiting evidence of scrapbook removal at corners but no paper loss. AZO stamp box dates the card to 1904-18, which is consistent with the subject matter presented. VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
