Item Description
3-3/8"x5-3/8" vintage silver gelatin postcard depicting 11 ballplayers posed in a single file line along with a little girl standing in front. We have been unable to find any info indicating that this team/league was on a professional level so we are assuming that they were a semi-pro, town ball club that would take on all comers in the local IL area. Image clarity of this photograph is superb. Back of postcard exhibits lt. foxing around the edges along with a brief handwritten note on left side, CYKO stamp box dates the card to 1904-1920s, which is consistent with the subject matter presented. VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
