Item Description
3-3/8"x5-3/8" vintage matte postcard depicting a full squad of ballplayers along with a group of military personnel posed on a ballfield with scoreboard in the background. Caption at bottom of photo reads "342nd F.A.B.B. Team, Camp Ferguson - W 103". Photographer's credit on back reads "Geo. M. Winstead, Hutchinson, Kans.". Images of baseball mixed with military are always highly desirable and this one is no different. Image quality of the photograph is excellent with corners exhibiting lt., even corner wear. Divided postcard back exhibits lt. foxing around the edges and remains blank and unused, AZO stamp box dates the card to 1910-1930, which is consistent with the subject matter pictured. VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
