Item Description
3-3/8"x5-3/8" vintage silver gelatin postcard depicting 11 ballplayers in full uniform along with a gentleman dressed in formal attire with period baseball equipment on display in the foreground and posed on a grass field. Caption at top of postcard reads "Austin Academy, Camp - Marble Falls, Tex.". Photographer's stamp on back reads "E.F. Jordan Kodak Supplies, Austin, TX". This local town ball club would take on all comers in their local Texas area. Image quality of the photograph is superb. Postcard exhibits lt., even corner wear, back of divided postcard exhibits significant staining around handwritten message and presents a postal cancellation stamp dated Sept. 26, 1912. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
