Item Description
2.75"x5.50" vintage matte postcard depicting a "View of Athletic Field. Hershey, PA. Home of Hershey Chocolate Co." as notated in the lower left-hand corner. Photo taken from behind home plate highlighting batter and catcher along with fielding team as well as stands and standing room only patrons in attendance. Milton Hershey established his chocolate company at the turn of the 20th Century, including building everything that would be needed for his employees to live in town, with education and recreation at the forefront. 1.5" creasing/stress marks visible in the upper right-hand corner along with lt., even corner wear. Divided postcard back contains a handwritten message and has been postally cancelled with a date stamp of April 14, 1913.  Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
