Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains 8" tall/long plastic figure of Osamu Tezuka's iconic manga character Mighty Atom (Astro Boy's name in Japan). Figure remains attached to cardboard box insert and has wheel in chest for flight simulation and comes w/factory-sealed bag containing pair of hands plus two feet "flames" that could be shot via spring-loaded mechanisms. Made in Japan for the Japanese market by Takara as part of their Tetsuwan Atom line, 1970s. Box features illustrated instructions on back and shows two different Mighty Atom toys by Takara. Box has some scattered edge/corner tip wear w/some creases and is Fine/VF. Figure is unused and NM, old store stock.
