Item Description
A mate in every way to the previous lot except this is dated for "1915". Has back paper. Boston defeated the Philadelphia Phillies four games to one to win their third World Series championship. The Red Sox pitching was so strong in this series that a young Babe Ruth (in his rookie season) was not used on the mound and only made a single pinch-hitting appearance. Few tiny age dots on rim curl. Front has only minor surface wear upon magnification. Totally bright with high gloss. Exc. Rarer than the 1912 variety. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
