Item Description
5.5x16.5" Crafttint artboard has pen and ink original art for Aug. 7, 1958 daily strip. Strip features art by Murphy Anderson, who worked on Buck Rogers from 1947-1949 and again 1958-1959. Strip features three illustration panels and shows two demolition men disarming a Hydro-X bomb. Last panel has text block at bottom advertising Satellite Pioneers club, mentioning member's badge. Last panel has been signed by the artist. Second panel has John F. Dille Co. copyright strip at bottom. Some blue pencil preliminary art visible. Artboard is evenly aged and back has some tape staining to margins. Art remains clean and VF. Given Anderson's relatively short time working on Buck Rogers, his Buck Rogers strip art rarely comes up for sale. Gene Seger Buck Rogers Collection.
