Item Description
11.5x13.5" trimmed artboard w/pen and ink original art by Sad Sack creator George Baker (1915-1975) for Sad Sack #117, published by Harvey in May 1961. Cover shows Sad Sack stepping on loose floorboard while mopping, causing bucket of water to flip onto Sarge's head. K-9 unit's Muttsy appears in right foreground. Baker has signed at lower left. Margins have some handwritten editorial notations in pencil, including title, issue number and publication month. Top left corner has staple w/piece of aged tape on back and artboard shows some scattered handling wear/aging. Some partial pencil text erased along top margin. VF overall w/art remaining clean and Exc.
