Item Description
1.25" w/name of hometown maker Parisian Nov. Co. on curl. In 1930 the newspaper issued two sets of portrait buttons for the city's MLB teams, the Cubs and the White Sox (see previous lot). Each set is comprised of 10 different buttons. Buttons give player name, position and team name. In alphabetical order by last name are: Moe Berg, Donie Bush (Mgr.), Bill Cissel, Urban "Red" Faber (HOF), Bill Hunnefield, Smead Jolley, Willie Kamm, Jim Moore, Carl Reynolds, Art Shires. High-grade Exc. to NM set. Buttons are rare, even rarer as a complete set. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
