Item Description
16x23" artboard w/pen and ink original art for June 28, 1970 Sunday page by Dan Barry (1923-1997), who revived the Flash Gordon comic strip in 1951 w/Harvey Kurtzman, additionally taking over Sunday page art duties when Mac Raboy died in 1967. Barry worked on the Flash Gordon strip until 1990. Sunday page features total of eight panels, including title panel w/title stat paste-over. Story features Flash and Max's Tiny People battling mad scientist Gregor Gaborsk, w/his matter transmitter being destroyed at the end of the fight, stranding the Little People on Earth. Flash appears in four panels. KFS copyright strip in seventh panel. Barry has signed in black felt tip pen at bottom right and margins have some scattered notations. Art has some scattered lt. glue staining to second and third panels, o/w art remains clean and VF.
