Item Description
Each is 8.5x11" photocopy (xerographic print) produced before the show for promotion. First on thin white stock featuring literal graphic for a "Live Black Flag New Wave Rock From L.A." show at the "Long Goodbye" on April 21 in Portland, OR. This gig was part of Black Flag's first West Coast tour venturing out of the Los Angeles area for the first time. Keith Morris had recently departed the band leaving guitarist, Greg Ginn, bassist Chuck Dukowski, and drummer Roberto "ROBO" Valverde without a singer. They recruited Ron Reyes who stayed long enough to record the Jealous Again single and make an appearance in the documentary film The Decline of Western Civilization. Reyes left the band mid-performance a little more than a month after this show, replaced by Dex Cadena before Henry Rollins joined in 1981. Only trivial handling wear. NM, file copy quality. Second is on thin blue stock w/graphic by artist Raymond Pettibon from the cover of the bands fifth album Loose Nut. Promoting "Two Shows" w/opening bands SWA and Tom Troccoli's Dog on "Tue Aug 20" at "Thunderbird Gym" in Seattle, WA. Scattered creases from being rolled some breaking ink and overall handling wear consistent w/moderate use. Fine. By this point the band consisted of guitarist Greg Ginn, bassist Kira Roessler, drummer Bill Stevenson and lead vocalist Henry Rollins. Just less than a year later the band would play their final show. A nice pair of flyers bookending the band's career which had an important influential effect on the grunge music that would soon emanate from the Northwest.
