Item Description
3-3/8x5-3/8" vintage silver gelatin postcard depicting 18 team members in full uniform along with the team mascot and posed in front of stadium seating. Below the team photo, all players are identified by last name, location in the photo along with their defensive position on the baseball diamond. The 1912 Traverse City ball club was a member of the Class D Michigan State League and finished in second place with a final record of 79-40 under manager, Jimmy Hamilton. Clarity of the image presented here is fabulous with lt. even corner wear along with foxing around the edges of the blank postcard back. AZO stamp box dates this postcard to 1904-18, which is consistent with the subject matter pictured. VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
