Item Description
3-3/8x5.5" vintage matte postcard depicting 10 team members in full uniform along with one gentleman dressed in formal attire and a mascot standing at center posed inside a studio with period baseball equipment in the foreground. Identification to right of photo reads "Neodesha's 1907 Ball Team". We have been unable to locate any professional ball club from this era hailing from Neodesha, Kansas so we believe this to be a town ball team, likely taking on all comers in their local area. Postcard exhibits even toning throughout with lt. even corner wear, a small crease in the upper right-hand corner and a postally used back with a cancellation date of April 14, 1909.VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
