Item Description
3-3/8x5-3/8" vintage silver gelatin postcard depicting 11 team members in full uniform along with three gentlemen dressed in formal attire posed in front of stadium seating with period equipment in the foreground. Imprint at bottom of photo reads "Marion Base Ball Club 1907". Handwritten message in along right hand border. The 1907 Marion Drummers of the Class C Ohio-Pennsylvania League finished in eighth place with a final record of 48-87 under managers, Fred Drumm, Bob Quinn & Thomas Mylett. The Ball club was led by future Brooklyn National League star, Jake Daubert. Divided postcard back has been postally used with a cancellation date of July 11, 1907. Lt., even corner wear present along with lt. toning around the edges. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
