Item Description
3-3/8x5-3/8" vintage silver gelatin postcard depicting 12 team members in full uniform along with one gentleman dressed in formal attire posed on a ballfield. Identification below photo reads "The Community Athletic Assn. Base Ball Club 1921 - Champions Southern New York". Handwritten identifications of all team members on back of postcard based on their position in the photograph. We have been unable to obtain any additional information about this club, likely a company/town squad taking on all comers in their local area. Lt., even corner wear visible with lt. staining visible on back. AZO stamp box dates the card to 1910-30, which is consistent with the subject matter pictured. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
