Item Description
Each is a 13/16" tin litho. Unlike the similar PR3 issue (see next lot) these buttons are numbered. Numbers are 1-40 and then for some reason, skip numbered after that up to 120. There are a total of 54 different players and four variants. The only button missing is a variant: #8 Lefty Clark Dodgers (the Clark Giants button is here). The HOF buttons are: Kiki Cuyler, Earl Averill, Dizzy Dean, Jimmy Foxx, Burleigh Grimes, Mickey Cochrane, Ernie Lombardi, Billy Herman, Tony Lazzeri, Earl Combs, Joe Sewell, Al Simmons and Lefty Gomez. Eight of the skip numbered buttons are NY Yankees and these are not part of the PR3 set (those players, minus the HOF already mentioned) are: Don Brennan, Sam Byrd, Ben Chapman and John Allen. The variants are: #31 Lefty O'Doul Dodgers and Giants, #32 Woody English and #33 Billy Jurges both with and w/o bat. Mostly just scattered small traces of wear w/some paint nicks and scratches as to be expected on these litho buttons. All remain glossy and w/great color. Mostly Fine to Exc. A classic set.
