Item Description
First edition 9.25x12-3/8" hardcover w/cloth-covered slipcase and dust jacket. Published in 1997 by Acid Test Productions, this is a special edition w/bound-in vellum page before title page that has been signed in black felt tip pen by total of seven - Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelley (1940-2008), Randy Tuten, Lee Conklin, Mari Tepper, photographer Herb Greene and Country Joe MacDonald (of Country Joe and the Fish). Published in cooperation with Bill Graham Presents, this lavishly illustrated book has 240 pages and compiles the original Bill Graham concert posters created for Fillmore concerts in San Francisco, CA and New York, NY and features a Who's Who of both poster artists and musical acts of the 1960s. Book comes w/two glassine envelopes, one containing unused postcard w/Acid Test Productions books catalog offer while other contains handwritten letter on Acid Test Productions letterhead thanking recipient for their help w/legal issue, noting that as a collector of signed first editions, sender (Acid Test Productions President Stacy Kreutzmann Quinn, herself daughter of Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann) has signed letter "Sis." Slipcase shows some wear and is VF overall. Aside from 1" corner bend on inside page, book is Exc. A must have for music and concert scene enthusiasts alike.
