Item Description
Complete set of 86 different 13/16" dia. litho buttons, issued in post-war cereal boxes 1945-46. Designed by the master creator of premiums for kids - designer Sam Gold - they were issued as five sub-sets of 18 (each sub-set including Superman), resulting in a 86 button set. Characters of note include - Blondie and Dagwood, Dick Tracy, Felix the Cat, Flash Gordon, Jiggs, Olive Oyl, Popeye, Little Orphan Annie, Superman, The Phantom, Daddy Warbucks and Wimpy. Buttons exhibit scattered minor wear (Shadow and Mr. Bailey showing more moderate wear) including some random paint nicks, but still an above average condition set w/nice color and gloss. Fine to VF overall.
