Item Description
Oversized 12.75x17" hardcover w/248 pages. Published in 1988 by Another Rainbow in an edition of just 3,000, originally issued at $250. Book features a retrospective of Mickey Mouse in the comics, including interviews w/Disney legends Carl Barks (1901-2000) and Floyd Gottfredson (1905-1986), who have both boldly signed a bound-in plate in black marker. This plate also features hand-numbered "943/3000" edition number. Book also comes w/7" dia. vinyl picture disc record featuring image of Mickey on front and photo of the two men on back. This 33-1/3 rpm record features an interview w/Barks and Gottfredson and has matching hand-inked edition number. Highlights of this book include eight complete unedited 1930s daily and Sunday newspaper strips and a 32-page section features Carl Barks original sketches for an un-produced feature length Mickey Mouse cartoon titled Northwest Mounted. Book also includes Barks' full-length Riddle Of The Red Hat Mickey story, originally published in Four Color Comics #79. Book has some lt. scattered handling to pages but is o/w Exc. and comes w/protective plastic dustjacket. An exceptional book signed by two of the all-time great Disney Legends.
