Item Description
11x13x24" tall cardboard box contains 22" tall hard plastic toy w/attached remote control battery box unit. 1960s. Box design includes leopard print detailing and images of Garloo in action on four side panels. Box has lower cardboard insert. White areas of box have heavy scattered insect damage to non-ink areas which has resulted in areas of surface paper loss, exposing inner cardboard. Overall box still displays nicely. Several small edge tears at top flap. Surface scrape across front panel. Good. Toy features great design, Garloo wears a fabric loincloth. Worked with forward and reverse operation only when tested. Remote designed to control three separate functions: forward and backward, arms open and close, body moves up and down. Missing instruction folder. Garloo's plastic necklace is intact. Has the 5.5" dia. cardboard "Garloo Serving Tray." The foam attachments on inside of Garloo's hands are entirely missing as is typical. Garloo shows only small scattered visible traces of lt. wear and aging. Inside of battery compartment looks new. Despite non-functioning bending and grasping feature, toy looks VF.
