Item Description
This 37" tall classic toy was introduced in late 1963 for one Christmas season only w/limited numbers produced. Toy features elaborate design and detail w/pair of original and working red light bulb eyes w/battery box free of corrosion. Top of head has "Scanner Scope" w/sight crosshairs but missing yellow sighting cup attachment. Right arm has working spring mechanism which opens and closes hands so objects can be picked up, including original "Moon Grenade." Designed w/hand-cranked voice box but voice is garbled. Designed w/rocket-firing launcher in base which has one rocket. Additional ball-launching function is complete w/the six red issued plastic balls. Has replaced resin "Sonic Signal" whistle that is inserted into back of Loo's head (non-functioning). Back of body has Morse Code sticker w/opening for Morse Code clicking mechanism. Toy design includes interior spring that facilitates his lifting up when he pivots at the waist. Has replacement resin "Water Ray" squirt bulb (non-functioning) that originally would have been inserted in back and squeezed so that jet of water squirts from front. Also comes w/two replacement red resin suction cup-tipped safety darts that would fire from his chest area. Working compass between feet. Has detailed control panel at waist area and also rolls along nicely on four wheels on underside of base. There are no broken or cracked areas and toy displays VF.
