Item Description
10.5x15.75" artboard has pen and ink original art by Curt Swan (1920-1996), w/inks by Bob Oksner (1916-2007). Art is from same issue as previous lot and art from story page 12 features seven panels, showing Lois Lane worrying about Clark Kent testifying in Inter-Gang trial, only for Superman to arrive and tell her not to worry before getting distracted by her beauty. Clark Kent image appears on newspaper in first two panels while Superman is pictured in last four panels. Top margin has stamped title and inked issue/page numbers and publication month. Back has preliminary pencil sketch of Superman side profile w/inked original art of muscled arm as well as DC copyright stamp. Swan has signed last panel in black felt tip pen. First panel has partial text strip replacement to newspaper headline w/white tape on reverse. Scattered handling wear/aging w/strip of tape staining at top/bottom center margin. Art remains clean and Exc.
