Item Description
15x20" on medium card stock. Promoting a Feb. 19 concert at the University of Iowa Field House. Bold dark brown text at center announcing the Southern rockers as the featured act. Signed in pencil on verso by artist Scott Allen Ross. Minor corner tip wear and light handling. Exc. The show occurred only days before the release of the band's double album "Eat A Peach", the last album to feature contributions by leader Duane Allman who tragically died a little over four months before this show. Gregg Allman, fellow member and brother of Duane, speaking of the time noted "The music brought life back to us all, and it was simultaneously realized by every one of us. We found strength, vitality, newness, reason, and belonging as we worked on finishing "Eat A Peach". The album was a hit, peaking at number 4 on the Billboard Top 200 and the band kept rolling to legendary status, now considered among the most respected rockers of their era. From the archives of artist Scott Allan Ross.
