Item Description
Original 19" long cardboard mailing tube contains 18.5x25.25" paper map issued in 1933 by Cocomalt. Beautifully illustrated w/rocketships and planets at center, border design includes illustrations of many different Buck Rogers characters including aliens and futuristic equipment. Bottom center image shows Buck Rogers and Wilma Deering facing off against Killer Kane and Ardala. Map has some creasing as rolled, some heavier than others. Brown paper tape repair on back to 1.5" tear along upper left margin; map has some small scattered edge tears. Collector inkstamps on back. VG overall w/bright colors. Plain mailer tube does not have mailing label and shows expected wear. VG/Fine. Rare. Comes w/7-1/8x10" typed letter on "Buck Rogers" letterhead w/illustrated logo that is addressed to "Dear Radio Listener." Letter mentions enclosed map as well as other Buck Rogers items, including emblem and Buck Rogers book. Letter goes on to mention Cocomalt sponsor. Letter bears printed facsimile "Buck Rogers" signature. Scattered handling wear but VF overall. Scarce. One of the all-time classic Buck Rogers items. Gene Seger Buck Rogers Collection.
