Item Description
In 1949, Bowman increased the size of their card set to 240, each measuring 2-1/16x2.5". Card fronts utilize bw player photos w/team uniform colors overprinted on a background of various solid pastel colors. Player bio backs. Lemon was one of the Cleveland Indians pitching aces of the 1950s, forming a formidable staff w/fellow HOF'ers: Early Wynn, Bob Feller and Hal Newhouser. Elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1976. Nicely placed signature. PSA/DNA pop report indicates that only three other signed examples achieved this grade w/only five others ever graded higher.
