Item Description
Rocket's Blast Comicollector (RBCC) was a comics advertising fanzine published 1964-1983, its purpose being to bring fans together for the purpose of adding to their comic collections. It also served as a launching pad for aspiring comic creators, w/many seeing their work published by RBCC as amateurs. Offered here is 12x16" sheet of art paper featuring ink and mixed media original art by Steven Fabian, depicting Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo and Chewbacca w/Darth Vader and Sandtrooper looming over them. X-Wing Fighters appears behind Vader. Fabian has signed his initials at lower left. This was published in RBCC's Star Wars Edition in Oct. 1977. Sheet has some handling wear resulting in some edge creases and left margin has 1.75" streak of staining, but art remains clean and would display Exc. if matted and framed. This piece (and other Star Wars original art offered in this auction) is fresh to market and comes from one collector, and each is an incredible find.
