25x43” overall. 21x39” image area. Photo taken in Philadelphia ball park late 1890s-early 1900s. Baker Bowl Ball Park was used by Phillies until late 1930s. Stunning image of most of entire force plus 2 rows of mounted police in rear. Foreground has 21 policemen with bicycles. An interesting pose. Likely vintage painted frame has nicks on outside edge. Fine. Foreground of image has the following problems (all contained in image area of dirt/grass of field and barely noticeable) - Four areas of curled emulsion from .25-1" in dia. plus a 3' tear (appears repaired from reverse). Overall image displays Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
