3.5x5.5”. c. 1908-1910. Bottom text reads “Waddell, p/St. Louis ‘Browns’ American B.B. League/By W.W. Bregstone 1318 Cass Av. St. Louis.” George Edward “Rube” Waddell played for the St. Louis Browns from 1908 to 1910. As a left-handed pitcher, he won six strike-out crowns, had a lifetime ERA of 2.16 and had four straight 20-win seasons. Retired from baseball in 1913 and died in 1914. Inducted into the HOF in 1946. Great photo of full standing figure in ballpark. A large advertising sign appears behind him advertising a hatter. Sign is in the shape of a large top hat. Unused. Aging to back. VF. Rare. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
