Boldly signed on top margin of front cover “John J. McGraw.” This banquet dates to just 2 years prior to his death of Feb. 25th 1934 at the age of 60. One of the true legends of baseball, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1937. As a player, he lead the league in runs scored in 1898 and 1899 but his career as a manager which followed his playing days is legendry. As manager of the New York Giants from 1902-1932, he lead the team to ten NL pennants and three world championships and overall ranks second behind only Connie Mack with the most victories as a manager.
