7.5x9.5” vintage matte finish c. 1930s photo of Barney Google & Spark Plug creator Billy DeBeck with Chicago photographer “Walinger” embossed mark at bottom right. Signed in black ink “To Mickey May You Never Change,” DeBeck has also added a nice sketch of “Spark Plug” and his signature. .25” area of surface paper lift at bottom left margin could be matted out for an Exc. display. Also included is 7.5x10” page attached to 10x13” textured paper backing board. Sheet has hand-colored print showing Barney Google smoking cigar. Facsimile signature of DeBeck at lower left. c. 1937. Issued by King Features Syndicate. Glue staining with pin hole at top of print though this could be matted out for an Exc. display. Nice pair that would display nicely if matted together. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
