Item Description
9.25x12” spiral-bound with stiff paper covers has front cover art of 2 laughing dogs in doghouse with one enjoying a cocktail. Title page is autographed in ink at top “Best Wishes Zito.” 30 stiff paper pages with cartoons with captions printed on front side of each plus Forward page. Several gags involve somewhat risqué humor including dogs and fire hydrants, dogs sniffing each other and other humorous situations. Vincento Zito (1900-1966) gained great fame with his books of dog cartoons and is also known for his paintings and caricatures. Covers have bit of wear around edges with tiny tears at spine tips. Fine. Right two-thirds of forward page has been clipped off and is gone. Blank inside covers lightly but evenly tanned. Contents o/w Exc. Well drawn and funny.
