Item Description
Two items. 1930s metal tray is 12.25x17-1/8" with paper insert titled "Here's How!" showing well-dressed pair of couples hoisting drinks in air surrounded by circles with text for various drinks. Drink names w/recipes include: Bronx Express, Black-Eye, Cloven-Hoof, Earthquake, Side-Car, Little Willie. Insert has been shellacked and is yellowed and has a few small holes in and around image area, with some wear around edges, along with moisture marks. Red paint around sides is worn down to bare metal in several places. Good. 3.75x5.75" booklet is titled "The Merry Mixer From The House Of Schenley" ©1938 with stiff paper covers and 24 b/w pages with some accent color. Booklet has cover along with several illustrations by Held. Drink names w/recipes include Three Little Pigs, White Lady Cocktail, and November Gobbler. Book is worn with cover creasing and numerous pencil notes on blank inside back cover. Good/VG. Both items have wonderful Held art images. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
