Item Description
8x10" matte finish photo date stamped "N.E.A. Oct. 16 1924" on reverse has wonderful image of Nehf in uniform holding glove with his right arm around son Arthur Nehf Jr. who is holding baseball with crowd in stands behind them. Margin edges have a few lt. creases, mostly just visible in reflected light. Fine. Pitcher Art Nehf played fifteen seasons in the Major Leagues including: Boston Braves 1915-1919, New York Giants 1919-1926, Cincinnati Reds 1926-27, 1929. He had a win loss record of 184-120 with an earned run average of 3.20 with 844 career strikeouts. Played for the World Series champions Giants in 1921 and 1922. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
